Gould & Ratner is pleased to announce that Linsey Cohen and Brian Gilbert have been selected by their fellow partners to serve a two-year term on the firm’s Management Committee as Managing Partners of the firm. Linsey will be serving her first term on the four-member committee, while Brian continues his service, having previously served for several years. The pair join Jessica Lingertat and Paul Carroll, who are currently in the middle of their two-year terms as Managing Partners of the firm.

Amy Blumenthal, a partner in Gould & Ratner’s Real Estate Practice, will serve on CREW Chicago’s Distinguished and Notable Advisory Board (“DNA”) for a third term. This five member advisory board of nominated individuals has positively impacted the commercial real estate industry by advancing the power and success of women, and will give feedback and direction to the current CREW Chicago Board.

Gould & Ratner is pleased to announce that two attorneys have been selected as 2023 Illinois Super Lawyers. Each year, no more than five percent of Illinois lawyers receive this honor. In addition, three attorneys have been named Illinois Rising Stars, which awards lawyers who are under 40 and practicing fewer than 10 years. No more than 2.5 percent of the lawyers in the state receive this honor each year.

Virginia Harding, a member of Gould & Ratner’s Real Estate Practice, celebrated her retirement on Jan. 20 after 48 years of practicing law at Gould & Ratner. Virginia began her career with the firm in 1975 when she joined the Real Estate Group as our first female associate.  She later became Gould & Ratner’s first female equity partner, before continuing her practice as an of counsel attorney in 1995.

Gould & Ratner will sponsor the Illinois REjournals Annual Forecast on January 10. The event itself will cover everything real estate in Illinois, from the state of the market in Chicago, to regional economic development opportunities for investors and developers, and more.
