Vanessa Tiradentes, Partner in Gould & Ratner’s Litigation practice, was recognized as a “Notable Minority in Accounting, Consulting and Law” for 2020 by Crain’s Chicago Business. The 56 people recognized have overcome challenges and bias to rise to the top of their professions. At professional services firms, they are involved not just in recruiting but in making sure young associates have the tools and opportunities to advance and succeed.

Karin O’Connell presented to the American Bar Association Endangered Species Committee at a forum titled “Charting a New Course: Federal Endangered Species Policy in 2021 and Beyond,” on Dec. 10.

Rich Reizen has been invited to join the Construction Lawyers Society of America (CLSA) as a Fellow, which noted that: “Rich Reizen’s excellent reputation in the construction law arena throughout the country is a positive result of top-quality service.’” The Construction Lawyers of America is an invitation-only international honorary association of preeminent lawyers specializing in construction law and related fields. Fellowship is limited and selective, with lawyers being invited into fellowship upon a proven record of accomplishment.

A member of the firm’s Corporate Practice, Rob Chidester provides strategic counsel to investment firms and businesses on a range of corporate matters, including capital raises, securities issuances, mergers and acquisitions, and commercial contracts. He also regularly serves as an outside general counsel, advising on both complex transactions and routine operational matters.

Gould & Ratner is pleased to announce that Vanessa Tiradentes, a partner in the Litigation Practice, has been awarded the 2020 Leadership Award for the Coalition of Women’s Initiative in Law for the Chicago Chapter.

John Byrne was a panelist and Fred Tannenbaum moderated a LawExchange International Marketing Roundtable on Oct. 27. The panel discussion featured the chief marketing officers of seven member firms in San Diego, Raleigh, Atlanta, Boston, New York, Toronto, Antwerp and Chicago. Discussion topics included how firms are navigating the COVID-19 pandemic and anticipated post-pandemic trends in marketing.
