Rich Reizen and Ellen Chapelle, co-chairs of Gould & Ratner’s Construction Practice, lead a panel of industry experts, which also included Michael Lubben (Global Risk Manager, CC Industries), Karen Layng (CEO, M.A.I.T.), Joel Gregoire (Senior Vice President, the Lockton Companies) at the Construction SuperConference on December 10, 2018. The presentation was entitled: “Mind the Coverage Gap: Insurance Specifications and Policy Terms That Can Trip You Up.” The presentation took common construction issues and described how different variations in the insurance specifications and gaps created by poorly understood policy terms can leave parties with unexpected bills to pay and offered practical drafting tips and best practices.

Midwest Real Estate News magazine has ranked the Gould & Ratner No. 19 of all Midwest law firms practicing commercial real estate in its annual “Best of the Best” edition for 2018. The firms were ranked by number of deals closed in 2017.

The 150 women featured represent an impressive cross-section of Chicago-area leaders in the legal profession, with many having served their clients with distinction for decades. In January 2018, Amy – who is President of CREW Chicago – was also inducted into the Midwest Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame by Midwest Real Estate News.
